Hot Sauce

Made a nice batch of hot sauce with chillies and pumpkin from the garden (probably about equal amounts ended up getting combined). Also basil, parsley, and sage.

Chillies sautéd with onion, garlic and the herbs, then into the blender with pumpkin and added vinegar to achieve thick sauce consistency. (This recipe recommends using 'dill pickle juice' in hot sauce, which I now try to do for that extra bit of flavour).

Water was dripping on to roof, driving me crazy

For a few days in a row, the water was dripping out of the hot water outlet valve on the roof. I would wake up in the night and hear it, and it would stress me out. I did find some perspective on the issue by acknowledging that some people don't even have running water.

Three hours of sun in the house

Sun coming into the lounge at 11.30am and setting behind the hill at 2.30pm. The sun is also shifting along a hump on the hill that's casting some shadow on part of the property during that time.
