Daffodils planted

Finally got around to putting the daffodil bulbs into the ground on the outside of the front fence.

Noticed today the little daffodils in the front yard have popped out in flower. This is also a reminder that I haven't planted the daffodil bulbs I've had in the shed for a while now.

Sun is shining on a patch of ground near the fence in the front yard soon after 9 a.m. now. I need to get that patch of ground ready and planted.

The plum trees across the road are starting to blossom.

Sun leaves the yard around 3 p.m.

Ranunculus planted

Finally, the Ranunculus 'bulbs' are planted.

Dirt was obtained from the back garden.
Flowers have grown here previously, so hopefully more
will grow in the new spot from seeds naturally sown.

The previously dug row was dug again once, sown,
then filled with the dirt from the back garden.

Yellow flowers

I'm not sure what this small tree is, but there are at least a couple of them, self-seeded, in the yard. They're out in flower at the moment.

First waft of Daphne scent

Daphne.

I noticed the Daphne flowers in the front yard recently, but  today was the first time this winter that I caught their scent on the breeze. I'm tempted to plant them all over the yard.
