Sun rising over water

The sun is now rising over the water, looking from the deck. It is technically still rising over some land - around Wellington etc in the North Island, but this is the stage where we stop being somewhat obsessed with the sun (or lack of it).

First peas planted

Have planted the first peas against the fence in the front yard and trimmed the young buddleia tree to let sun in and hopefully the peas will climb up over it.

The rocks around the seeds will hopefully help defend against the onslaught of the hens.
